Marcel Joubert and his business partner, Moira O'Reilly, have taken clothing retailer Platinum Holdings, which owns the Hilton Weiner, Urban, Aca Joe, Vertigo and Jenni Button brands, from selling T-shirts on university campus to a fledgling business with a turnover of R200 million.
Joubert is also a founding member of the SA Council of Retailers (SACR), a national retailers' association set up to protect the interests of the independent retailer.
