When the going gels laugh in Ihe rag trade, expecllo see Moira O'Reilly and Marcel Joubert on your doorslep, These Iwo dynamos are at their besl when working in a material world, Both University 0f Cape Town graduates, they have ploughed their energies into forging a new retail group, consisting of leading designer clothing labels Vertigo, Hillon Weiner, Aca Joe and Jenni Button, The latter two are the latest to join the merger, which means the group's oullets increase from 15 to 30 company-owned stores and four franchised stores, Marcel financed his studies by designing, manufacturing and selling clothes under the Vertigo label. He was also one of the first flea marketeers to run a stall on Greenmarket Square and hit the headlines when he bought and, with Moira, literally turned around the stuttering Hilton Weiner chain, 'It was her finest hour and all credit must go to her,' says Marcel of his fiancee's input. Hard work, teamwork, focus, dedication and tun are, they say, their ingredients for success,
